Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer Reviews
Most reviews for this device are extremely positive. Owners did express some concern and surprise that the chrome look is actually chrome effect plastic, but none said that this impacted on the performance of Omega’s masticating juicer. The 10 year warranty is extremely long term. Only one review read mentioned using the warranty, and that was a normal wear and tear issue. The part was replaced free of charge after almost 5 years of constant use.
Several reviewers compared this juicer to centrifugal slice and chop juicing machines. In all cases the Omega machine came out on top overall. One reviewer commented,
”I got this Omega 8005 juicer because I wanted to be able to juice greens and wheat grass as well as root vegetables. I read on a forum that this new Omega juicer is the best there is for under $400. This Omega juicer is even easier to clean than the ACME, which is a big issue because in the long run you won’t use a juicer if its a hassle to clean. And it squeezes all the juice out of anything I put in it. The pulp comes out very dry.”
Most reviewers mentioned the fact that the intake tube is a little smaller than some models. In many cases the users claimed that the process of chopping the vegetables was therapeutic and an enjoyable part of the process. Some said it was no different than cooking the vegetables for dinner anyway. Another reviewer commented,
“If you want to juice leafy vegetables or grasses, then you need something like a gear juicer. The Omega fits the bill and is actually less expensive than some fruit juicers.”
One of the most notable features of the machine was its quiet operation compared to several alternative juicers. A reviewer commented,
“It is super quiet too and the ACME was loud.
The Omega runs at a low rpm so it doesn’t kill enzymes and stuff like that, so its supposed to make healthier juice than a Champion or centrifugal juicer.”
Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer Conclusion
If you are about to buy a juicer for long term use, it is almost certainly a good idea to buy a juicer as opposed to a centrifugal juicer. The extra cost involved will be paid back over time since the overwhelming view of users is that there is far less waste pulp produced by this juicer. The waste pulp produced is also much drier than that from the alternative devices. This indicates that more juice has been extracted from the fruit and vegetables processed. Be prepared to spend a little time chopping the vegetables beforehand, and some time afterwards cleaning the juicer down. For long term use, low noise and better quality juice the general consensus of opinion is that you should buy a masticating juicer. The Omega J8005 is a great machine to choose.
